Rainy Explorations

This Halloween, my girlfriends and I woke up late, bundled up cute and cozy, and went exploring in a new part of Chicago to us, no real plan on the agenda. It was pretty windy and raining down with no real sign of letting up. However, it only added to the "gloomy, chilly Halloween afternoon" feeling of the day, so I was not complaining, that's for sure.

We went to the absolute cutest little coffee shop ever, Heritage Bicycle Store. Me being the world's official coffee shop connoisseur that I am, of course I had already had it written down on my list of coffee shops to go to. And it certainly did not disappoint.

Train rides on the L are always an experience.

Back on campus, I was reminded of the beauty of a simple fall day. The gradient, ombre effect of the leaves on brick buildings. Nature is just so effortless and magical.

My roommate and I laid low for the rest of the night, snuggling up under our blanket, popping some popcorn, and watching The Polar Express. Hey - there were only a few more hours of Halloween, practically making it the Holiday season already, right?

Goodbye October, you've been lovely. Until next year...
